Because we are a global leader in Fluid Technology
Apprentices work four days a week at HYDAC and attend TAFE one day a week, gaining a balance of practical experience and technical knowledge. Training covers safety, diagnostics, maintenance, quality systems, and product understanding, supported by experienced technicians and engineers across our operations.
HYDAC partners with AI Group as the Registered Training Organisation, providing a clear and well supported pathway from first year to completion. HYDAC is also a national finalist in the Australian Apprenticeships Employer Award category, reflecting the strength of our program.

The program has a clear pathway, the graduate starts in technical sales developing soft skills and then participates in a rotation plan to spend quality time in every department. They will receive internal and external training and they will also participate in field training lunch and learn sections.
The graduates are required to complete 10 internal technical training courses at HYDAC’s Training Centre where once finished, they will receive a Certificate IV in Fluid Power. At the end of the program, they will be amongst the first industry qualified Fluid Power Engineers, and they will have opportunities to work globally within the HYDAC network.
