Artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping off-highway industries, helping manufacturers develop smarter, safer and more efficient machinery. From autonomous farming to intelligent forestry equipment, AI-powered technologies are opening new possibilities for automation and precision operations.
TTCONTROL is contributing to this evolution through its high-performance computing platforms and involvement in the AGRARSENSE research project, which explored AI applications in agriculture and forestry.
AI in Action: The AGRARSENSE Project
The EU-funded AGRARSENSE project brought together industry and research partners to explore intelligent agricultural and forestry machinery.
TTCONTROL contributed to two pilot applications
- Autonomous vineyard robotics: AI-powered cameras and sensors helped assess grape quality, support pruning tasks and detect people and animals to improve operational safety.
- Autonomous forestry transport: Computing platforms processed sensor and camera data to detect obstacles and calculate safe driving paths for autonomous timber transport.
These applications demonstrate how AI can help automate demanding tasks, improve efficiency and reduce the physical impact of machinery on the environment.
What Makes AI Integration Possible?
Successfully integrating AI into off-highway machinery requires more than advanced algorithms. Reliable computing power, real-time data processing, functional safety, cybersecurity and connectivity are all essential.
TTCONTROL's high-performance computing platforms, including FusionAI and MotionAI, support demanding AI workloads and edge computing applications. Combined with its software expertise and application development support, these solutions help original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) integrate intelligent functionality into their machines.
